Terms of Service

Last updated October 30, 2026

1. Accepting these terms

These terms apply to your use of Rep4Rep (the website, the dashboard and the API, together "the service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to have a Steam account where you live. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to buy points.

2. What Rep4Rep is

Rep4Rep is a community where people exchange comments on Steam profiles. You earn points by posting comments on other users' profiles, and spend points to have other users post comments on yours.

Rep4Rep is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Steam. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation. You are responsible for following Steam's own terms and rules when you use your Steam account.

3. Your account

  • Give a valid email address and keep your login details safe. You're responsible for everything done with your account.
  • One person, one account. Don't create accounts to collect welcome bonuses, referral rewards or free comments more than once.
  • Don't sell, share or transfer your account.
  • Don't use bots, scripts or automation to complete tasks, except through our official API within its limits.

4. Steam profiles

  • Only add Steam profiles that you own. We may ask you to prove ownership.
  • We never ask for your Steam password. You post comments yourself, from your own Steam account.
  • Profiles that receive comments must keep their profile and comment section public.

5. Rules for comments

Comments you post through Rep4Rep must not contain:

  • Insults, harassment, hate speech or threats.
  • Links, advertising, spam or offers to trade or sell anything.
  • Claims we can't verify, such as calling someone a trusted trader or seller.
  • Anything illegal, sexual or otherwise inappropriate.

Don't delete comments you received through Rep4Rep, and don't remove comments you posted for a task. We check comments automatically and may filter or refuse comments that break these rules.

6. Points

  • Points can only be used on Rep4Rep, to get comments and for other features of the service. They have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money, sold or transferred to other users.
  • Part of the points paid for a comment is burned instead of going to the commenter, and prices per comment can change with demand.
  • Points you received by mistake, or through breaking these terms, may be removed.

7. Buying points

  • Payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see your full card or bank details. Prices are shown before you pay, including VAT where it applies.
  • Points are digital content and are added to your account as soon as the payment goes through. By completing a purchase, you ask us to deliver them right away and accept that you lose your right of withdrawal once they're delivered.
  • If points don't arrive, or you were charged twice, contact us and we'll fix it or refund you.
  • Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first may lead to your account being suspended.

8. Suspension and termination

If you break these terms, we may remove points, refuse comments, ban Steam profiles from the service, or suspend or close your account, depending on how serious it is. You can delete your account at any time from your settings.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running and to check comments, but we can't guarantee that it's always available, that every comment is delivered, or that comments stay on your profile. Comments are written by other users, not by us.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens to your Steam account, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we make important changes, we'll let you know on the site or by email. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.

11. Privacy policy

This section explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

  • Account details: your username, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
  • Steam data: the Steam profiles you add, and public information about them from Steam, such as the profile name, avatar, level and ban status.
  • Activity: your requests, comment lists, the comments you post and receive through the service, your points history and orders.
  • Technical data: your IP address, browser details and when you were last active, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse. We use your IP address to pick your country for VAT when you buy points.

Why we use it

  • To run the service: your account, matching tasks and requests, checking comments and keeping your points.
  • To process purchases and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
  • To keep the service safe: preventing fraud, multiple accounts and abuse.
  • To email you about your account, orders and security, and about boosts and rewards, offers and low points. You're signed up for those other emails when you create an account; turn each of them off in your settings or with the unsubscribe link in any of them.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the services we need to run Rep4Rep:

  • Our payment provider and its payment processors (for example Stripe and Plisio), to handle purchases.
  • Amazon Web Services, to send emails.
  • Google, for "Sign in with Google" and reCAPTCHA spam protection on login and signup.
  • Valve, through the public Steam Web API, to look up Steam profiles and check comments.
  • Hosting and network providers that run our servers.

We may also share data when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, such as keeping you logged in and protecting forms, and a cookie that remembers who referred you when you sign up through a referral link. We don't use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, except what we must keep by law (such as order records for tax purposes) or need to prevent abuse (such as bans).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the personal data we have about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account yourself from your settings. For anything else, contact us. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
